Rich Speaks…

Since the untimely demise of The Scopies, I've been playing in a new band - The Hounds. Sort of a bluesy / rock 'n' roll / bar band kind of thing. It's all sounding rather good - and there's a fairly rudimentary website at www.the-hounds.co.uk.

It's shit.

Every time I need to buy something online (today, a chair from IKEA) and I need to be OK'd by VBV, I can't remember my password.

The reason being that I've run out of the usual passwords I use (or rather the usual system of generating passwords) - and I can't reuse one. So - every time I need to use VBV, I can't remember my password. I can, however, get a new one, simply by putting a few basic details in (card number, 3 digit number on the back, date of birth). Then I can be OK'd by VBV.

If I was an identity thief, I'd be a bit rubbish if I didn't know those three pieces of info.

I've just bought the chair, and I can't remember the new password I gave them already.

Bit of a waste of time really.

Or rather, the morons Who keep deciding to follow me, based on an automated and context-free search pattern. Today I've had a naturopath decide to follow me, based on a post I made pointing to a post all about how ridiculous homeopathy awareness is, and some programming geek who can't tell the difference between Monty Python and Python the programming language used exclusively by geeks who want to show off how geeky they are.

I just block them - but that takes time. Maybe I should invoice them for 20 seconds of my time...
