About the Horseshoe
The Horseshoe was built on the site of some stables in the centre of Wellingborough, around 400 years ago. Some of the historic attributes of the pub mean that parts of it are listed, such as the stained-glass frontage.
In recent decades, the Horseshoe has been one of the most popular drinking establishments along Wellingborough's High/Sheep/Silver Street run, mainly popular with those with a taste for rock music.
The current management took over the running of the pub in early 2005, and are reviving the pub's fortunes with event-driven nights targetted at a rock and indie audience.
The management have been praised for their "Zero Tolerance" policy, which means any trouble-maker is barred - for life - from the premises.
